Columbus 2020, the 11-county regional economic development engine, recently released its 2011 Annual Report highlighting its accomplishments and successes. Among the highlights:
- Generation of more than 150 qualified projects
- Facilitation of 50 first-time visits from companies considering the region.
- Creation of the ColumbusRegion.com website;
- And a growing commitment to entrepreneurship, including the creation of the First Customer initiative to boost the growth and success of biomedical and technology start-ups in the Columbus Region.
In its first year of operation, Columbus 2020 is well on its way to achieving its lofty, long-term goal of creating 150,000 net new jobs in ten years. Read more.
