Wright Stuff Aircraft Dispatcher School is a startup education business established to prepare students to pass the FAA Professional Dispatcher Licensing Exam and become highly effective professional flight dispatcher.  One of the school’s co-founders is New Albany resident Adam Beckman who also serves as a Lecturer at The Ohio State University.
Wright Stuff’s mission is to provide the highest quality dispatch training. Training is designed to far exceed the one-week “crash” courses frequently offered by others educators serving this profession.  Wright Stuff is proud of its thorough test preparation and the completeness of the education it delivers.
Wright Stuff will be conducting classes on Monday and Tuesday evenings at Innovate New Albany, starting Monday August 5, 2019.  Soon, Wright Stuff plans to run classes in metro areas across the US.  And ultimately, Wright Stuff intends to deliver education in an online format.

Innovative Information:

  • Mon July 15 – Met with rising New Albany High School Senior Ajay Ganesh.  Ajay was seeking a small business he could work with for the purpose of building them a website.  His goal is to use this experience as his New Albany High School senior seminar project.  Suggested Ajay create a flyer he could use to recruit potential “project-clients.”  Subsequently, provided feedback to Ajay and helped him fine-tune his approach. Also, invited Ajay to accompany me to local networking events and he did join me at a business/coffee meetup at Fox in the Snow on Friday July 19.
  • Wed July 17 – Met with Newark-based business person Mary Henton and Denison University Adjunct Stephen Krak.  Explained the mission and programs of Innovate New Albany.  Explored the possibility of Stephen and Mary leading a TIGER Workshop on Design Thinking, most likely in Q1 of 2020.

  • Mon July 22 – Hosted Jerry Moore, Founder and CEO of technology startup Ad Assassins.   Meeting purpose was to show Jerry our soon-to-be open offices to serve as a potential headquarters for his company.  Jerry subsequently found another office that had availability for his growing team earlier than we did at innovate New Albany.
  • Fri July 26 – Hosted Carson Hake, a 2014 New Albany High School graduate who is in the process of creating a ‘heavy-duty and outdoor robotics company changing how we farm and landscape.”   Meeting purpose was to show Carson our soon-to-be open offices and our open cubicles.  Subsequently, Carson decided that now is not the right time for him to invest resources in office facilities, but that we will keep in touch and he plans to take advantage of TIGER Events, Expert Office Hours and other opportunities to meet innovative business professionals at Innovate New Albany.
  • Fri July 26 – Hosted former Silicon Valley entrepreneur and current New Albany resident Matt Golis, Founder & CEO of the startup social enterprise GiveGame which operates from Columbus.  Reviewed the programs of Innovate New Albany and explored opportunities to collaborate.  Invited Matt to do a TIGER Tale about his experiences in Silicon Valley and then choosing to return home to Central Ohio.  Also explored possibilities for Matt to help establish an entrepreneurial club at New Albany High School, possibly collaborating with theBusiness Builder’s Club at The Ohio State University which is led by Jack Hutchinson, a recent graduate of New Albany High School.
  • Fri July 26 – Hosted Emre Koksal, Founder & CEO of DAtAnchor, a Columbus-based scalable technology startup focused on data security for business clients.  Emre is also an engineering professor at The Ohio State University and a New Albany resident.  Meeting purpose was to show Emre and 3 of members of his team our soon-to-be vacated office spaces.  Subsequently we agreed to a plan for DAtAnchor to move into 2 offices at Innovate New Albany beginning in mid-August.
