Make new friends! \n*************** \n5G is a hot buzzword these days\, but wouldn’t you like to understand how will it impact our lives and the world around us? \nIn this TIGER Talk\, our presenter John Lackey will explain what 5G technology is AND how it’s going to impact each of us personally and professionally. \nAs background\, John will start by reviewing the history of mobile technology and the basics of what makes a cell phone work. 5G is certainly fast\, but it will also enable changes in many different industries. It will provide the infrastructure for future services that we can’t even imagine yet. \nParticipants will leave with an understanding of mobile communication 5G technology\, the endless possibilities it can offer\, and how it can be leveraged to enhance business strategies. \n*************** \nJohn Lackey has over 30 years of experience in the telecommunications and software industry working for Bell Laboratories\, Lucent Technologies\, and Nokia. He started his career working on robotics and computer vision systems.
