Make new friends. \n“Joining a Nonprofit Board: Finding the Perfect Fit” is an interactive session designed to guide individuals interested in nonprofit board service through the process of finding the ideal fit. \nThis TIGER Talk will cover key topics\, such as:\n– Understanding the role of nonprofit boards: Explore the responsibilities\, expectations\, and governance structure of nonprofit boards to determine if board service is the right fit for you.\n– Identifying your passions and skills: Assess your interests\, expertise\, and availability to find a nonprofit organization whose mission aligns with your values and where you can make a big contribution.\n– Researching potential nonprofits: Learn effective strategies for researching and evaluating nonprofit organizations\, including their mission\, programs\, financial health\, and board culture.\n– Making a positive impact: Understand the importance of building strong relationships with fellow board members\, staff\, and stakeholders to maximize your impact as a board member. \nWhether you’re a seasoned professional looking to give back to your community or a newcomer interested in getting involved in the nonprofit sector\, this session will provide you with the knowledge and tools you need to find the perfect nonprofit board opportunity. \n*************** \nKerri Mollard is the Founder and CEO of Mollard Consulting\, a nonprofit partner. \nShe is a respected authority on nonprofit board governance\, planning\, and fundraising\, and has served nearly 150 clients since 2003 and thousands more through workshops. \nPrior to consulting\, Kerri worked in positions as varied as public relations coordinator\, box office manager\, development director\, and executive director. She has a master’s degree from Indiana University\, a bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University\, and a Certificate of Nonprofit Board Consulting from BoardSource. \nIn 2021\, Kerri ran for office for the first time.
