She has a master’s degree from Indiana University\, a bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University\, and a Certificate of Nonprofit Board Consulting from BoardSource. \nIn 2021\, Kerri ran for office for the first time. If you’re starting a business or trying to grow an early stage business\, this talk is a great foundation for many critical decisions you’ll soon need to make. \n*************** \nRyan Steele is a Partner at Porter Wright Morris & Arthur. He handles corporate contractual matters to bring startup operations\, mergers\, acquisitions\, financing\, energy and natural resources deals\, and other general business transactions to fruition. \nCombining business operations knowledge with legal acumen\, Ryan efficiently executes a variety of complex business contracts so that rapidly growing companies\, business owners and early stage entrepreneurs can cost-effectively achieve growth goals. Having managed an office of over 100 employees and contractors\, Ryan applies first-hand knowledge of daily business functions\, including project management\, employee management\, and independent contracting\, in providing practical counsel to fast-growing entities so they can overcome challenges and achieve their business goals. \nRyan assists early stage entrepreneurs by completing the documentation innovators need to establish their business profile\, grow and expand\, and ultimately exit on their own terms. More generally\, Ryan drafts and negotiates a myriad of contracts to help close multi-layered transactions\, including architect/contractor agreements\, business and commercial agreements\, retail leases and general real estate agreements\, and purchase/sale agreements. In this interactive TIGER Talk\,\, Melinda will share the many types of startup funding\, key insights on projections and budgets\, and some tips to help with your next pitch! \n*************** \nAs Director\, Investment Funds at Rev1 Ventures\, Melinda Gloriosa is a dynamic member of the team. In this role\, Melinda analyzes and manages investments in concept\, seed\, and early stage companies. Her responsibilities include conducting investment analysis\, leading the execution of investment transactions including due diligence\, cap table modeling\, and more.
