A startup – and life’s journeys – rarely follow a straight line. Learn about Matt Golis’s entrepreneur story from growing up in Columbus, to experiencing the first dot-com boom and bust, and then coming out the other side and achieving success before moving to New Albany after 20 years in Silicon Valley.
Having the unique perspective of living half his life in Central Ohio and almost half in Silicon Valley, Matt will help you appreciate why Columbus (and the Midwest, generally speaking) is the best place right now to be an entrepreneur.
Matt Golis is the founder and CEO of GiveGame, an online fundraising platform startup he launched last year operating from downtown Columbus.
Prior to moving to New Albany in 2018, Matt was the co-founder of YapStone – an online payments company that now processes over $20 Billion in payments, focused on property management, vacation rental, and online marketplaces.
A graduate of Miami University, Matt is a serial founder who has been through all aspects of scaling of a startup. Matt enjoys working with students to encourage their pursuit of entrepreneurial endeavors.
