Do you have big ideas for a project, business or program – but it’s stuck on the tarmac? Maybe you know where you want to go? And, maybe you’ve got all the right people on board, but you haven’t found the right runway?
Whether you’re looking to adventure into a new service, new product, or new system, our speaker, Cori Rowley of Design Central, can help. She will show us a highly effective process that helps tackle the unique problems that might arise when it comes to creative problem solving at any scale.
Cori and her colleagues believe in getting the right team together right off the bat — easily the most difficult and most critical part of the process.
Cori will show you powerful tools you can take back to your team — to get your work done right and fast:
– Tactical advice you need to get your idea off the ground.
– Examples of projects large and small where Cori and her teammates have helped client teams get to their destination vision.
– Help creating a list of the aspects of your project that you shouldn’t be doing — so that you can engage other partners and celebrate what you’re best at.
– Empowering you to hear from your consumers — to understand what they need and would actually buy.
Cori Rowley, Senior Product Designer at Design Central, has more than 10 years of design experience. Her work spans industries including retail and fixture design, product design, analysis of lifestyles, trends and futures, consumer research and soft goods design. She prides herself on client relationships and cross-functional partnerships. Her research insights are the fuel to her fire. She has traveled the U.S. and internationally to study the habits and practices of the end user.
When she’s not at Design Central, Cori is also the chapter chair for IDSA OHC (Industrial Designers Society of America, Central Ohio Chapter), where she supports collaboration between designers across Central Ohio. She also serves as an Adjunct Faculty member at Columbus College of Art and Design. In addition, she raises her family and runs Yellowood Design Studio with her husband Benjamin. Yellowood restores and sells vintage axes and tools, and hosts workshops to help all people gain confidence in their ability to enjoy and master outdoor activities.
