Be ready to interact with our workshop leader, Kaylyn Bass, and your fellow participants.
Please arrive at 9:30 am. Eat. Mingle. Make new friends.
This is a supportive environment for constructive criticism. All participants will have a chance to present a short speech (under 6 minutes) and receive meaningful feedback on vocal quality, physical presentation, speech content, and overall confidence. They will receive both written and verbal feedback on strengths and areas for improvement.
WHAT TO BRING:
A presentation in progress: this can be an elevator pitch, a speech to debut a new product or service at a conference, a proposal for potential investors, etc.
An open mind: You will receive constructive feedback from the workshop leader- and, if applicable, other participants- about the strengths of the presentation and areas for improvement.
QUESTIONS TO ASK:
What words can I use to best represent the voice of my brand?
What am I supposed to do with my hands when I’m speaking to a crowd?
What speaking habits do I have that make me seem nervous or confident?
How can I incorporate visual aids into my presentations?
How can I become a better presenter?
