Kasich Recognizes Janova, New Albany’s Growth Trajectory

Janova, a cloud-based software testing solution provider, has received the attention of Gov. John Kasich as well as $1.3 million in tax incentives from the Ohio Department of Development as a result of its rapid expansion plans and dramatic growth trajectory.

In a recent press conference held at Janova’s headquarters at the Water’s Edge campus within the New Albany Business Park, Kasich said Janova’s investment in Ohio and New Albany’s business development efforts reflect a new and exciting time for Ohio.

“What’s really exciting about being at Janova is you see the future,” added Kasich. “You know where the world is going and you become part of the change. Ohio is on the edge of becoming exciting and cool again.”

The Ohio tax credit, worth up to $1.3 million, would allow Janova to add up to 116 workers with an annual payroll of $10.4 million and conduct job force training. The New Albany tax incentive is a 15 percent, five-year income tax incentive valued at more than $100,000. Out of the total $250,000 investment made by Janova, $100,000 will go toward infrastructure improvements and $70,000 will go toward technology upgrades.

Kasich also lauded New Albany’s economic development efforts, noting that New Albany “gets it.”

Ranked among TechColumbus’ outstanding startups for 2010, Janova developed a revolutionary web-based automated software testing application that speaks plain English, requires no infrastructure investment, reduces implementation time by up to 40% and can be accessed through the Internet.

Innovate New Albany, the city’s incubator for technology startups, entrepreneurs and small businesses, features 16,000 square feet of space within the New Albany Business Park’s Signature Office Building, 8000 Walton Parkway.
