It’s easy to get caught up in details and forget to invest our time, energy, and best thinking into answering the big picture questions that determine whether our businesses will succeed or fail.
Wouldn’t it be great if entrepreneurs had a framework to ensure they don’t lose sight of what’s important?
In this TIGER Talk, entrepreneur Seth Cramer will provide this type of guidance, using principles from the course he teaches to Entrepreneurship students at Ohio State’s Fisher College of Business. Seth will provide tools to help you focus on what matters most.
Specific questions Seth will cover:
Seth is an entrepreneur who has both launched a start-up and turned around a failing company. He understands that the relentless day-to-day demands of operating a business can distract us, causing us to lose focus on the really important questions. This talk will help you avoid that fate!
***************
Seth Cramer teaches the final course in Entrepreneurship at The Ohio State University, helping undergraduate seniors turn their business ideas into investor-worthy pitches.
Seth’s passion for entrepreneurship started 20+ years ago, while earning his MBA at Ohio State. After helping one of his classmates with his business-plan-writing service, Seth ended up co-founding Armada Group, Inc., a law enforcement technology company. Upon exiting that firm, the Columbus based venture capital firm NCT Ventures asked Seth to assess Phoenix Bat Company, a Plain City, Ohio-based wood baseball bat company. Seth turned around this company’s fortunes while becoming a co-owner of the business.
Besides his teaching, Seth currently works as a freelance consultant, including availability to serve as “fractional chief operating officer” for an early stage firm that would benefit from his experience and talents. He currently provides consulting support for two start-up efforts (an OSU cochlear implant-related technology and an innovative wine packaging idea).
A native of Connecticut, Seth loves advising students and businesses with honest, “east coast style” direct feedback. He finds it rewarding to be able to offer a critical view, from a wide lens of comprehension and see it make a difference. Seth’s business career is grounded in 8+ years working in different roles across a number of functional areas within Fortune 500 companies.
