In this TIGER Talk, Randy Gerber will cover important insights he’s gained while helping business owners work through the challenging year we’ve just concluded. This includes helping businesses make valuable pivots, implement strategy, and continuously innovate in order to succeed. Entrepreneurs and business leaders will find out how to implement the lessons of 2020 so they can crush 2021.
Randy Gerber is the founder and principal of Gerber, LLC, a professional services firm focused solely on improving the business and overall happiness of first generation entrepreneurs. By taking a holistic approach to each individual client’s ideas and aspirations, Gerber helps its clients integrate and achieve their life, business and financial goals.
Randy is a graduate of The Ohio State University’s Fisher College of Business. As a first generation entrepreneur himself, Randy has much in common with the over 200 exclusive clients Gerber, LLC has worked with, giving them a unique relationship. This uncommon bond has helped bring in over $35 Million in revenues.
Besides being an entrepreneur, Randy is a person committed to philanthropy and giving back to his community. He has volunteered at the Childhood League Center, American Heart Association and he is an active supporter of Mid-Ohio Foodbank. In addition, Randy has been an active leader of the Columbus Chapter of the Entrepreneurs Organization (EO), including serving as a board member six times since 2000. EO is a global peer-to-peer network for entrepreneurs to learn and grow together.
Randy’s success as a first generation entrepreneur led him to write a book about the five stages of business success a first generation entrepreneur goes through when launching a new business. The book describes how to successfully integrate work demands with the many personal relationships in his/her life throughout the five stages of success and two stages of temporary failure. He specifically discusses how to use integration and planned experience-sharing to sustain and grow deliberate relationships with his/her spouse, children, parents and friends—all while starting and growing a business. Citing personal experiences and real-world examples, Randy’s book gives every first generation entrepreneur the clarity and direction they need to be a success in both business and in life.
Randy credits much of his company’s success to their customized, holistic approach to professional services. He and his team help clients take care of the details and align their business and personal lives, enabling the business owner to focus on growth with purpose – a process that betters themselves, their families, their employees, and, ultimately, the community.
