Business owners understand the importance of revenue and sales in growing their business. It’s fun to watch your business thrive, but what about your company’s infrastructure?

Have you ever thought: “Hey, we’re growing! We’ll focus on that boring operational stuff later.”? It can be put off for only so long before you’re forced to face it. And, it usually happens in the form of an expensive, disruptive “OH, NO!” moment.

That moment could be:
• Needing to scale up to deliver on a new contract
• Needing money to expand or even just to make payroll
• Your best employees start jumping ship
• Being sued by a former employee or a customer
• Getting a letter from a government agency, etc.

It doesn’t have to be bad news, but it usually is unexpected.

In this TIGER Talk, Diana Dibble and Molly Gimmel will make the often-tedious topic of business operations accessible and fun. Their in-the-trenches expertise will help you understand the infrastructure and other essentials that will keep you in business and thriving for the long haul.

Diana Dibble is the CEO of Tripod Coaching & Consulting LLC™, which opened in 2022. It was founded from her passion for business operations, which she has been doing for decades. Tripod provides business operations services, and they are experts in Planning for the “What If”™. Throughout her career, Diana has found that revenue generating activities are usually a business’ priority. However, focusing solely on revenue may be killing the company. That’s where Tripod comes in. They are really good at what they do, and they make biz ops fun… or at least more fun.

In addition to Tripod, Diana is President/Co-Founder of Design To Delivery Inc (D2DInc). D2DInc is a government contracting firm founded in 2001. They provide acquisition and program management support services to US federal civilian and defense agencies. In addition, D2DInc recently launched the Small Business Superstore as a new line of business to resell products to the federal government.

Throughout her career, Diana has been recognized with local and national industry awards including the Enterprising Women’s 2020 Enterprising Women of the Year award, the 2022 National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) Woman Business Owner of the Year award as a top 3 finalist, and the NAWBO Greater DC Chapter 2023 Entrepreneur of the Year award as a top 3 finalist. D2DInc has also received numerous awards since its founding including being recognized on Inc Magazine’s INC5000 list of the fastest growing US privately held firms for 4 consecutive years.

Molly Gimmel is CEO/Co-Founder of Design To Delivery Inc (D2DInc), an award-winning firm that provides program and acquisition management support services to Federal government agencies. Molly has been working in the field of government contract and acquisition management since 1991. Before co-founding D2DInc in 2001, she spent eight years working in the government practices of three of the “Big Five” accounting/consulting firms. D2DInc appeared four times on the Inc 5000 list of fastest growing privately held companies in the US, from 2014 thru 2017. D2DInc was ranked #32 on the Women Presidents Organization’s list of Fastest Growing Women Owned Companies in 2016.

In 2021, Molly founded the Vellamo Leadership Institute to bring together like-minded individuals who strive to grow as leaders. She believes that fostering a network of support empowers people to expand their influence and enjoy rewarding careers.

Molly is the author of Master Your Mindset: How Women Leaders Step Up published in April 2022. In this book, she explores the unwritten rules of successful female leadership. Molly holds a Masters of Science in Contract & Acquisition Management from Florida Institute of Technology, and a Bachelors of Business Administration in Marketing from the College of William & Mary. She has a Graduate Certificate in Leadership from the UC Davis Graduate School of Management.
