Ohio Tech Angel Fund Ranks First in U.S.
The Ohio TechAngel Fund, an investment organization that got its start in New Albany investing in high growth, early-stage ventures, was recently ranked first in the nation by the Angel Capital Association, a trade association of investment groups.
Founded by New Albany resident, John Huston, the 282 angels that make up the investment group support early-stage, Ohio-based information technology, advanced materials and medical technology companies. The company’s first two funds are fully invested, but Fund III is now seeking to facilitate risk-sharing on opportunities with high upside potential. It works closely with the state of Ohio and other Midwest angel firms.
