Cisco Academy Prepares Tomorrow’s Techies
Housed at the New Albany-Plain Local Schools, the Cisco Academy prepares students for the Cisco Certified Entry Network Technician and Cisco Certified Network Associate industry certifications.
The online honors course that is part of the Eastland-Fairfield Career and Technical Schools’ School-to-College Program attracts students from 16 Central Ohio school districts and provides the equivalent of four college courses in one high school year.
Designed for college-bound students with an interest in computer networking, the e-learning curriculum teaches basic networking knowledge and skills for small and medium sized organizations. Students work in a state-of-the-art lab and participate in network software simulations, hands-on exercises, interactive skill and knowledge development games, on-line formative knowledge testing and realistic knowledge and skill assessments. When they complete the program students can install, configure and troubleshoot routers and switches in Local Area Networks (LAN) and Wide Area Networks (WAN).
