New Albany’s Magnetic Status
The Columbus Dispatch’s Sunday edition featured New Albany prominently on the cover of its business page touting our community’s quality of life, infrastructure and schools as a “magnet for corporate expansion.”
Highlights include impressive statistics and quotes:
- 2,809 jobs were attracted to New Albany since 2009, including 1,941 of which were new to the state of Ohio
- Tammy Troilo-Krings, CEO of TS24, notes that her new office space in New Albany has resulted in an “8% productivity boost and a greater pool of quality applicants.”
- Ed McMahon, senior resident fellow with the Washington-based Urban Land Institute explains why New Albany has been successful. “They actually have a plan. You have easy land assembly, good schools. A lot of communities are more haphazard.”
- Michael Marlowe, president of Bluemile says of New Albany, “If you’re entrepreneurial and creative, you want to be in a place where you have the chance for serendipity. And that’s what we have by being there.”
