New Albany’s Website Evolves as Community Grows
New Albany’s government website, the portal to all things New Albany, has been updated to enhance its functionality and user-friendly features. Now that New Albany has achieved city status it has changed its domain name to http://www.newalbanyohio.org/. While many aspects of New Albany’s website remain constant and much of the information you need is right where you’d expect it, the updated version has increased search engine optimization, a mobile version for easy access from your smart phone and easier administrative tools.
“We wanted to add all of the social media platforms we’ve implemented and include other tools that can help create conversations between New Albany staff and those that we serve,” said Scott McAfee, New Albany public information officer. The site was updated by Buckeye Interactive, a New Albany-based interactive marketing firm located at Innovate New Albany, the incubator for tech startups.
The original domain name http://www.villageofnewalbany.org/ will also operate as the city continues to transition.
