Website Touts Healthy New Albany Activities
From organic cooking to getting ready for Pelotonia, Healthy New Albany’s new website touts a vast array of educational programming, activities and events to inspire healthful living among the community’s families, employees and athletes.
Initiated by The New Albany Community Foundation in collaboration with the New Albany Walking Club, Healthy New Albany is a not-for-profit designed to promote a healthy lifestyle for those who live and work in New Albany.
The effort includes the popular New Albany Farmers Market, lecture series, community garden, health expo, New Albany Walking Classic, New Albany Walking Club and the Healthy New Albany magazine. The organization also focuses on the specific needs of New Albany’s youth and its office park employees with lunchtime walking programs and lunch and learn events. The 501c3 will also encourage participation in other local health-related initiatives throughout central Ohio, including Pelotonia, a bike ride aimed at defeating cancer through research at The Ohio State University – Comprehensive Cancer Center.
