Anomatic Breaks Ground in New Albany
The latest link in the supply chain at the New Albany Personal Care and Beauty Innovation Campus, Anomatic, officially broke ground last week with a tour of its 83,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art production facility. The $11 million facility, includes a new Innovation and Technical Design Center that will engineer novel packaging systems for its clients. It will ultimately employ 185 employees.
Founded in 1967, Anomatic is North America’s largest supplier of high volume metal packaging and custom anodized for the medical, pharmaceutical, personal care and cosmetics clients that include Victoria’s Secret and Bath & Body Works. It’s proprietary anodizing system and processes incorporate advanced recycling technologies allowing nearly 90% of materials to be recycled in-house.
As part of the new vertically integrated campus, Anomatic expects to increase speed to market. It produces more than 1 billion units annually and expects to produce 500,000 per day at the new facility.
