New Albany Companies Named TechColumbus 2012 Innovation Award Finalists
Five companies with ties to New Albany, including three businesses that got their start at Innovate New Albany, New Albany’s incubator for technology startups, are among the finalists for the TechColumbus 2012 Innovation Awards.
Finalists for the outstanding startup award include Softsyl Technologies, a New Albany incubator company that specializes in voice and telephony technologies; and Venture Highway, an integrated learning platform for entrepreneurs, that has received funding from NCT Ventures, a venture capital firm with New Albany residents, Rich Langsdale and Michael Butler, at the helm.
Incubator firm, Capture Educational Consulting Services, a company that provides IT solutions to maximize teacher and student performance, is a finalist for best product. One of the city’s first incubator companies, Buckeye Interactive, a digital marketing agency, is a finalist for outstanding service for companies under 250 employees while its founder and president, Brad Griffith, is a finalist for executive of the year for companies under 250 employees. Gerald Armstrong, president of North and South American markets for New Albany-based Commercial Vehicle Group, a global supplier of integrated solutions for commercial vehicles.
The winners will be announced at the Innovation Awards gala on February 7, 2013.
