Registration Opens for 2013 Bike the C-Bus

Registration has opened for the 2013 Bike the C-Bus ride that takes off at 7 am on August 31^st. The ride starts downtown and meanders through some of Columbus’ most scenic areas, including the Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, German Village, Victorian Village and the Short North.

The $30 registration fee includes an official Bike the C-Bus 2013 t-shirt (if you register by August 23) and wristband, drinks and food at designated rest stops and lunch in the hospitality area.

This year’s ride is dedicated to Cory Lunger an avid cyclist who ended his five-year fight with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) earlier this year. Lunger overcame bone pain and rallied back from aggressive rounds of chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant to ride 180 miles in the first Pelotonia bike event in 2009. He road 100 miles in the event the following year and, despite a relapse in both 2011 and 2012, Lunger managed to ride 50 miles in both years.
