The Columbus Dispatch touts the New Albany Business Park as “one of the state’s biggest commercial-development success stories of the decade,” in a recent news story that credits the city’s master plan for taking a bucolic rural community and transforming it into a residential and commercial powerhouse.
According to the news organization, “By year’s end, the business park will include about 6.5 million square feet of commercial development and employ about 12,000 people. The bulk of that growth occurred during the worst economic conditions since the Great Depression, with 4,650 new jobs and $563 million of new development added since 2009.”
