With its history of innovation, Alene Candles is the latest link in the highly integrated supply chain hub within the New Albany Personal Care and Beauty Innovation Campus, joining some of the industry’s leading suppliers.

New Albany’s central location – within 500 miles of more than 50% of the North American population – is among the reasons the company chose to expand operations beyond its corporate headquarters and manufacturing plant in Milford, New Hampshire.

Alene Candles develops, designs and creates candles – 10 million annually – for some of the world’s most popular retail, cosmetic and boutique brands.

The campus, designed to support companies within the personal care and beauty industry that can benefit from complementary capabilities and creative synergies, has already attracted eight companies, and will add more than 1.4 million square feet of space and more than 1,400 employees.

A great fit for New Albany’s innovation ecosystem, Alene Candles is a full-service contract and private-label manufacturer of custom-designed, filled candles and home fragrance products. A pioneer in cutting-edge wax blends that feature the latest in wax technologies such as UV inhibitors and antioxidants, Alene’s specially-designed burn test labs can test up to 1,500 candles per day.

Innovate New Albany, the city’s incubator for technology startups, entrepreneurs and small businesses, features 16,000 square feet of space within the New Albany Business Park’s Signature Office Building, 8000 Walton Parkway.
