Alene Candles from Milford, New Hampshire and Axium Plastics from Mississauga, Ontario, Canada will both break ground on new facilities in New Albany’s Personal Care and Beauty Innovation Campus.
A great fit for New Albany’s innovation ecosystem, the two companies are at the forefront of advancements in their industries. Alene Candles, a full-service contract and private-label manufacturer of custom-designed filled candles and home fragrance products, is a pioneer in cutting-edge wax blends that feature the latest in wax technologies such as UV inhibitors and antioxidants. Alene’s specially-designed burn test labs can test up to 1,500 candles per day.
Axium Plastics manufactures plastic containers using a production platform of the latest extrusion blow molding and injection blow molding technologies. The company plans to expand their manufacturing and research and development operations with their new 110,000 square foot facility.
