The City of New Albany’s new business accelerator, a 7,100-square-foot space designed for fledgling startups that have outgrown their space, will open in the near future at 8000 Walton Parkway.
Several businesses located at Innovate New Albany, New Albany’s start up incubator, who have outgrown their current space are expected to move into the accelerator space to provide more room for growth and, with it, additional employees.
“Access to the accelerator enables us to continue to nurture and grow the capacity of younger, entrepreneurial businesses in our community,” notes Jennifer Chrysler, New Albany’s Director of Community Development.
The accelerator, located on the same floor as the city’s incubator, offers more traditional space and lease terms, sweetened by an offset from the city as a result of a partnership between the city and the New Albany Company.
