PayPal Prepares for Space Age Commerce

Staying several steps ahead of the curve, PayPal has announced that it is launching a galactic initiative to figure out how payments and transactions will be handled in space when space travel and tourism takes off.

The company, which is eBay Inc.’s payments business, has reached out to the nonprofit SETI Institute and the industry-led Space Tourism Society to launch PayPal Galactic to determine how commerce will work in space.
