Pathways to Success—Physicians (PTS Physicians), startup housed in at Innovate New Albany, New Albany’s business incubator, recently created PTS Benchmaker, the first service in the nation that provides hospital-based physician practices with “transaction-level data, both from the revenue side and the cost side” to assess performance.

Founded in 2006, PTS Physicians works closely with physicians, practice managers and hospital administrators to create and leverage standardized benchmarks that highlights gaps in efficiency and profitability and provides management teams with data to drive decision making.

The business, which serves more than 400 practices in thee Midwest, was founded by a group of healthcare professionals including William R. Bennett the founder of Vision Service Plan (VSP), a health care corporation that provides group vision care coverage through employer benefit plans
