A new stage in France gives new meaning to the phrase “Trip the Light Fantastic.” In fact, this futuristic, interactive stage built for the French EDM festival, Nuit Sonores, uses concertgoers’ dance movements to power itself.
Stage lighting is kinetically powered by human energy, which is produced when feet hit the dance floor. The concerts’ lighting and visual effects change according to how intense and vigorous the concertgoers move.
