10-xelerator Competition Seeks Big Ideas

10x and Ohio’s New Entrepreneurs (ONE) Fund are now accepting applications from teams of aspiring entrepreneurs looking to launch new ventures based on their compelling ideas and seeking expertise and early capital to accelerate the process.

Funded through the Ohio Third Frontier and administered by The Ohio State University’s Fisher College of Business Center for Entrepreneurship, the program provided $20,000 for business and living expenses as teams work with industry experts and experienced entrepreneurs to develop their concepts and build their business models. Apply for the next round of the 10x program that begins in January.

Mark Kvamme, chief investment officer for JobsOhio, the state’s new business-development organization touted the 10-xelerator program. “I am so happy about this class (and) I am looking forward to seeing — in two or three or four years — one of our companies here (become) that billion-dollar exit company.”
