Android apps. Robotics. Programming. Web development. Summer camp goes high-tech at TECHie Camp, a weeklong camp experience for elementary and middle school students designed to stimulate a deeper interest in technology and provide opportunities for students to express their imaginations.
Through partnerships with colleges, universities, K-12 schools and nonprofit organizations, camp sponsor TECH CORP plans to offer more than 20 Techie Camps in Ohio, including Columbus. The age-appropriate, hands-on, interactive activities is designed to educate, expose and excite students about technology. It gives students the knowledge, tools and confidence to become active designers and creators of technology; builds confidence in STEM-related concepts and skills, encourages teamwork, problem-solving and critical thinking, and exposes students to positive role models in technology and STEM-related professions.
The TECHie Camps will run from June 11 through August 24. Find additional information or register at the TECH CORP website.
