The New Albany Walking Classic, voted America’s favorite walking event by Walking Magazine has signed on The Ohio State University’s Wexner Medical Center as title sponsor for the September 16 event.
The medical center is the first title sponsor in the eight-year history of the event that also ranks as the country’s largest walking event. The Walking Classic features a 10K (6.2 miles) and a half marathon (13.1 miles) and is expected to attract 3,000 walkers from across the United States ranging from Olympic caliber to recreational walkers.
Major sponsors include Aetna Inc. and American Electric Power Company Inc.
