One of the companies featured in the recent TechColumbus Innovation Showcase, Patients & Consumers’ Pharma, Inc., has developed a unique system of converting medications in tablet and capsule forms into flavored liquids.

Their innovative INSTA Formulation System provides a tasty alternative for patients who cannot swallow tables and capsules and have no access to appropriate liquid substitutes. Consisting of an automated table-top milling unit, specialized single-use plastic containers and flavored additive sachets, INSTA employs a patented wet milling technology to produce fine suspensions in a disposable container that also serves to dispense the product. The technology can create formations with a range of liquid to pudding consistencies.

The first product launch is targeted for the global companion animal market and then will be used for human applications. Founder and CEO Joe D’Silva is seeking funding to complete product development, prepare for commercialization and develop sales and marketing in the next 12 to 18 months.
