June 5 @ 11:30 am - 1:00 pm

| TIGER Tools Workshop

Part of TIGER Events’ “Healthy Habits for Innovators” Series in partnership with Healthy New Albany.

WED 6/5/24, 11:30 am – 1:00 pm

SPECIAL LOCATION: IN-PERSON at Phillip Heit Center for Healthy New Albany, 150 W. Main St., New Albany, OH 43054

Be ready to interact with our presenter, Kevin Ryan, and your fellow participants.

Please arrive at 11:30 am. Eat. Mingle. Make new friends. And this time, walk in nature!

Entrepreneurs and innovators often find themselves entangled in a whirlwind of relentless business expectations, goals, and looming deadlines.

This high-stress environment can stifle creativity and reduce productivity.

Fortunately, a powerful remedy lies just outside your workspace—connecting with nature.

Join Kevin Ryan, an expert in nature and mindfulness practices for this TIGER Tools Workshop, as he provides valuable tips and guidance on harnessing nature’s calming and energizing gifts. In this session, we’ll explore how integrating nature into your daily routine can serve as a catalyst for innovation and rejuvenation.

Expect to engage in enriching dialogues, gain practical instructions, and, weather permitting, participate in a Mindful Nature Walk in New Albany’s beautiful Rose Run Park. This immersive experience will not only alleviate stress but also inspire fresh, unconventional ideas by reconnecting you with the serene yet potent energies of the natural environment.

Our featured presenter, Kevin Ryan, has spent nearly all his working years as an educator and mentor. He coached Track and Field and Cross-Country for twenty-eight years while teaching English and Theology at the high school level. After leaving the secondary level in 2009, he taught a course on Spirituality and Education at The Ohio State University while he wrote and published two books.

Retiring from classroom teaching, Kevin has spent the last ten years guiding “seekers” in the flow of yoga and fitness and the quietude of meditation while offering his services at retreats and speaking
engagements. A former runner, walker, biker, cross-country skier, backpacker, and overall outdoor enthusiast, Kevin now devotes much of his time to communing with nature and studying its health benefits.

Kevin completed his undergraduate studies in English and Theology from St. John’s University, and later earned a graduate degree in Theological Studies from the University of Dayton.
