Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) is a relatively new and fast-growing field that is receiving increased attention from investors, consumers, employees & candidates, industry associations, and politicians.
During this TIGER Talk, our presenter Matt Deptola of Brixey & Meyer breaks down the strategic planning framework, walks through its use case for business, and dispels common misconceptions highlighted in the media. As a Senior Manager at Brixey & Meyer and the firm’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Services practice lead, Matt Deptola helps clients understand the growing field of ESG, assess their performance compared to ESG best practices, and develop & implement strategies that drive sustainable value for shareholders.
Prior to Brixey & Meyer, Matt spent 8 years at JobsOhio supporting financial incentive negotiations and statewide site selection projects alongside JobsOhio Network partners. Most recently, he served as the Director of Operations for JobsOhio’s project management team overseeing continuous improvement, training & development, and program management for the JobsOhio Growth Capital Fund.
Outside of work, Matt enjoys spending time with his partner Anna and their dog EJ, completing his MBA at Ohio State, working on house projects, and volunteering. Matt is a Columbus Business First 40 Under 40 honoree and is certified in Corporate Sustainability through the NYU Stern School of Business Center for Sustainable Business.
