Generative AI is changing how teams work. This interactive series starts with the basics: how AI works, what it can and cannot do, and how to get it working with and for you.
No prior AI experience is required.
From there, participants will explore practical tools and use cases alongside the leadership decisions that come with them. What work can you hand off to AI? Where does human judgment need to stay in the lead? How can you give your team clear guidance that reflects your organization’s values?
Through hands-on activities and discussion, leaders will build the confidence to use AI themselves and help their teams use it thoughtfully.
Who should participate?
- Business and organizational leaders guiding innovation or change.
- Managers and supervisors deciding how AI fits into their team’s work.
- Anyone curious about using AI more effectively and helping others do the same.
Learning outcomes
Participants will be able to:
- Explain the basics of how generative AI works, what it does well, and where it falls short.
- Use practical prompting strategies to make AI a more useful partner in their work.
- Identify opportunities for AI to support everyday tasks, creative work, and strategic planning.
- Decide what to hand off to AI, what needs human review, and what should remain a human responsibility.
- Evaluate AI tools and uses in light of organizational goals, risks, and values.
- Begin creating practical, values-based guardrails for their teams.
- Identify a realistic next step for using AI in their organization.

Our leader for this program is Lori Robbins, Founder of HERizon AI, a consulting company that empowers individuals and teams to explore and apply generative AI.
Lori is also Head of AI Strategy and Assistant Director of the King Center for Data and Innovation at Denison University, where she leads campus-wide initiatives focused on AI literacy, instructional design, and faculty development.
With a background in international education and educational technology, Lori creates programs that help students, faculty, and staff engage critically and creatively with emerging technology tools.
