Google Analytics (UA – Universal Analytics) is going away in July 2023 and is being replaced with Google Analytics 4 (GA4). Find out what this means for your website and the steps you need to take to keep your website tracking going.
In this workshop, Tanya Zyabkina, Principal at Probabilistically, will show how to setup up Google Analytics 4 for your website and migrate from Universal Analytics. Topics that will be covered:
- Overview of website tracking using Google Analytics
- How to determine whether you have Universal Analytics or GA4
- Options to add GA4 tracking
- Introduction to global tags and Google Tag Manager for GA4
- Basic GA4 setup demonstration
- Overview of GA4 data
What you need for a successful workshop:
- Access to the backend of your website, like your WordPress or WiX login.
- If you have had Google Analytics/Google Tag Manager set up, login into a Google account with administrative access to these services.
If you have never had GA installed, you will only need access to the backend of your website.

Tanya Zyabkina is Principal at her analytics consulting practice, Probabilistically, where her goal is to help companies make better decisions based on data.
Tanya’s expertise comes from leading the analytics function for Fortune 500 companies in the retail and telecom industries. Her experience spans from qualitative market research in the fashion industry to building an enterprise data warehouse for an online publishing company.
She earned an MBA from The Ohio State University, a Master’s degree in Economics from Novosibirsk State University, and a Graduate Certificate in Data Science from Harvard University Extension School.
