“In this TIGER Talk, I’ll show you what it actually feels like to raise AI agents in the real world, through stories from systems I built, broke, fixed, and eventually trusted.
You’ll see how agent “parenting” works in practice: setting hierarchy, teaching collaboration, and giving agents tools and boundaries without scripting every move. I’ll share the surprising moments—when agents did exactly what I hoped, and when they did something I never saw coming. Along the way, I’ll give you practical lessons on observability, security, and how to keep control as capabilities emerge.
My goal is for you to leave with a modern mental model: if you’re going to work with always-on AI teammates, you have to raise them well.”

Chris Slee has spent 30 years building technology that actually ships — most recently as CTO of LainaHealth, where he leads AI development for clinical and operational systems, and as Chief AI Strategist at Transform Labs, where he helps organizations cut through hype and make practical decisions about AI adoption.
Chris is not just advising on AI — he’s building with it. His current work includes designing and deploying multi-agent AI architectures in production environments, which gives him a practitioner’s view of what these systems can and can’t do at scale.
Chris organizes Columbus AI, one of the Midwest’s most active communities for applied artificial intelligence, and serves as an advisor to Rev1 Ventures and JumpStart Inc.
