What’s the buzz?
Join us for our 2nd Readers’ Club event: an interactive, in-person program designed to spark ideas, deepen thinking, and help you connect with other curious innovators.
Tuesday November 10
6:00 – 8:30 pm.
Enjoy light bites & make new connections.
What if limits are actually where the best ideas begin?
This time we’re reading David Epstein‘s Inside the Box (published May 2026), a fascinating look at the surprising power of constraints.
We’re often told that creativity means thinking outside the box. Epstein turns that idea on its head, exploring how boundaries, limitations and trade-offs can actually make us more creative, innovative and effective problem-solvers.
Together, we’ll explore questions like:
- Why can having fewer options sometimes lead to better ideas?
- How can constraints spark innovation in business, science and creative work?
- When do limits help us focus, experiment and solve problems differently?
- And how can we create the right constraints for ourselves and our teams?
The evening will feature small-group discussion with plenty of room for conversation, debate and unexpected connections. We’ll also leave time before and after the discussion to build friendships with others from the Innovate New Albany community.
