Master storyteller Tom Gattis will share stories of human ingenuity in an entertaining and enlightening presentation based on the premise that ingenuity comes from clever, inventive, and original thinking. These stories from our past and present revolve around design, innovation, and ingenious thinking that has impacted modern society.
Tom will also provide a peek into the upcoming Say Hi to the Future Activation, to be held in Columbus on October 26, 2023 And he will introduce Catalyst – the Human Ingenuity Game, the newest product created by his firm, Spyder Works. Catalyst is designed to help organizations think differently to resolve their wicked problems.

Tom Gattis is a Partner and the Chief Design Officer for Spyder Works, a business consulting firm, and the creator of Say Hi to the Future activations. Tom is a former Dean and a current Design Professor at the Columbus College of Art & Design and a former AVP of the Savannah College of Art and Design.
Tom speaks internationally on design and innovation, its impact on business, and the value of using gamification to resolve wicked problems.
