In a short, stirring tribute to the city that they call home, two New Albany High School students, Kai Doran and Taylor Dorrell, shine a light on the many assets that make New Albany a great place to live. Among the highlights, 900 events every year, a pedestrian friendly town square anchored by a library, shops and restaurants, and a award-winning school system on a 200 acre learning campus that seeks to create “high achieving, ethical, self directed, intellectually curious citizens of the world,” according to its Superintendent April Domine.
The students created the film with the guidance of faculty adviser Leslie Shea and collaborative support from local film production firm, Vital Film Works. The film debuted earlier this month at the inaugural Film Festival of Columbus. Now available on line, the film was made possible by the support of the New Albany Community Foundation through the Ralph Johnson Fund.
