Stratus Innovations Group was founded in 2010 by long-time New Albany resident, Ron Savoia.

Before launching Stratus, Ron was a Senior Director in Microsoft’s Enterprise Services division where he was responsible for opening Microsoft’s Columbus office at Polaris in 1999 as well as incubating the professional services around what eventually became Office 365.  

During Ron’s tenure at Microsoft, he consulted with many Central Ohio organizations, including Nationwide, The Limited, JPMC/BankOne, and Ohio Bureau of Workers Compensation. He also ran Microsoft’s Central Region Financial Services Enterprise Services practice. 

Stratus Innovations Group is an Information Technology (IT) Consulting company that focuses on providing IT solutions that leverage Microsoft’s Office 365 and Azure Cloud Platform.  The Stratus Innovations organization has an existing customer base that is concentrated in global manufacturing and international financial services/payments. 

Stratus has previously worked with many Central Ohio based companies including Nationwide Children’s Hospital, Cardinal Health, Worthington Industries, OrthopedicONE, and BroadStreet Partners.  Based on this deep experience of providing custom software solutions for specific customers, both software-based and infrastructure-based, Stratus is now actively broadening its capabilities to also become a software products startup, where it is incubating internally developed software platform solutions. 

One solution that Stratus is currently developing is a platform for organizations of any size to develop their own AI-based agents (called “Copilots”) that provide web-based chatbots for both internal and external customer service, and the ability to deploy these agents directly on your corporate website or Intranet site. This platform recently won a Columbus Business First 2024 BizTech award, which recognizes technology innovation in the Central Ohio area.
