Still Time to Sign Up for Global Seminar
Innovate New Albany and several businesses housed in New Albany’s incubator for technology and small business startups will offer a free seminar on global sourcing from 8:30 to 11 am on Monday, August 5 at the incubator, 8000 Walton Parkway, Suite 200.
Focusing upon strategies and resources for doing business in China, the program will feature presentations from Helios Developments Ltd, PointUp Creative, Kegler, Brown, Hill and Ritter, Sino-American Business Consulting and the Ohio Small Business Development Center.
Presenters include:
Menachem (Meny) Ben-Zvi, Co-Founder and Director of Helios Developments Ltd. Helios’ primary aim is providing industrial, commercial and private entities with international trade services. The Helios staff possess the tools, skills and knowledge imperative in conducting direct trade with leading suppliers and factories in China.
Thomas Chang, President of PointUp Creative. PointUp Creative is an international brand management company, creating marketing opportunities and technology solutions to increase business. PointUp helps large companies and small start-ups looking to expand or create digital and physical brands, products or services globally.
Vinita Bahri-Mehra, J.D., B.L.S. focuses her practice at Kegler, Brown, Hill and Ritter on the areas of global business, corporate law, intellectual property law and mergers and acquisitions. Licensed to practice in Ohio and India, she counsels corporate clients regarding a broad range of complex national and international transactions.
Chris Stellato, M.A., founded Sino-American Business Consulting (SABC) and The Columbus School of Chinese, a highly successful educational institution that offers Mandarin language instruction. SABC’s cultural consulting services help to make American business relocations in China successful by training clients to navigate the language and culture with ease.
Omar Diop is Director of International Trade Development for the Ohio Small Business Development Center located at Columbus State Community College. The Ohio SBDC offers technical assistance programs to small businesses through a partnership between the Ohio Development Services Agency, the U.S. Small Business Administration and selected Ohio chambers of commerce, colleges and universities and economic development agencies.
