Grablet Adds Fun and Function to iPad
While technologies such as the iPad have made work, play and life in general much easier, it’s sometimes cumbersome to haul around or set up where and when you want it.
Now, a New Albany startup, The Grablet LLC has created a sleek, colorful and multifunctional attachment and cases that increase its versatility. With Grablet, the uses are limited only by your imagination. Strap it to a tree and Skype with family while you’re camping, strap it to the back seat of your car and let the kids watch a movie while you’re on the road, hang it from a kitchen cabinet so you can read your recipe.
Grablet is made from thermoplastic polyurethane, a highly durable compound that resists abrasions and scratches, can withstand low temperatures and is highly elastic. The original version retails for $29. Available for all three versions of the iPad and iPad mini, Grablet comes in twelve colors. The company also offers accessories and covers designed to fit the device.
The product, which has been sold in 16 countries, was recently featured on the Life Hacker website and is scheduled for an upcoming Living Social promotion. The company and its CEO Zac McKenzie have been profiled in The Metropreneur Columbus, Hi Velocity and Columbus Business First.
