Innovate New Albany Offers Virtual Office to Startups
When Innovate New Albany, New Albany’s small business incubator at 8000 Walton Parkway was created, the city projected full occupancy in 2012. Despite a sluggish economy or perhaps because of it, that milestone was reached in June when the last of the 17 offices and 10 cubicles was leased to a startup.
As the list of potential startups waiting for space at Innovate New Albany started growing, Tom Guy, business development director of Innovate New Albany, and city planners developed a unique lease option offering virtual office space. Virtual tenants pay a small fee each month and receive access to Innovate New Albany’s conference rooms, kitchen and Wi-Fi services. They receive keys to the facilities in order to have 24-hour access and can even have their mail delivered to the prestigious business address. And, most importantly, they remain high on the waiting list if one of Innovate New Albany’s current tenants outgrows their space.
Currently there are six startups enjoying virtual status. They include:
- Bright Light Consulting
- Anders Law
- Realscore
- Compost Connect
- TekDog
- Journal Lynx
If you are interested in more information on the virtual tenant program, contact Tom Guy, business development director at Innovate New Albany at 614-289-7550.
