Startups come in all shapes, sizes and, yes, flavors. Now, there is a new epicurean delight in central Ohio thanks to the culinary creativity of Purple Sage’s Laurie Sargent, the former executive pastry chef at the New Albany Country Club.
After a career that took her from Columbus to Vermont to Colorado and back to New Albany where she honed her skills at the country club, Sargent started Purple Sage to offer wholesale pastries and breads to caterers, restaurants and individuals throughout central Ohio.
From croissants to baguettes, Sargent offers classic French baked goods as well as wedding cakes and other delectable treats. She shares her passion for pastries at the Columbus Culinary Institute, where she had been shaping culinary minds as lead pastry instructor for seven years. Learn more at purplesagebakery.com.
