Health Information Entrepreneur Connects to New Albany.

While convenience and good schools originally led Brian Olah to New Albany, the range of business resources has made it a perfect fit for his ten-year-old healthcare information technology company, Strategic Thinking Industries which was recently awarded TechColumbus’ Innovation Award for outstanding service.

What Is Strategic Thinking Industries?

We are a healthcare information technology company that provides healthcare organizations with services that include vendor selection, quality assurance and medical records integration. For example, as hospitals transition to new electronic medical record solutions, we are able to transfer the old electronic charts, strips and records into more current and flexible storage formats that can be imported into the new software systems developed by vendors such as Epic, McKesson, MEDITech, Siemens, Cerner, Philips Medical Systems and GE Healthcare

Why did you move to locate New Albany?

We moved from Indianapolis when my wife joined an OB/GYN practice affiliated with Mount Carmel East. We fell in love with New Albany’s school system, master planning, curb appeal, sense of community and neighborhoods. It has been a great fit for us and our children. I think it is the best place in America to raise kids. I can walk to work at the business park and am very accessible to my children.

Why did you decide to locate your business here?

Planned growth and attention to infrastructure is the perfect mix for raising a family and growing a business. The biggest attraction for me was the fiber optics. We do everything remotely so a strong, stable, fast internet is critical to our success. And, the New Albany Business Park offered very flexible lease options that enabled me to establish myself and also accommodate future growth.
