Sam Malik leverages creative thinking with digital strategies to help businesses solve complex problems and get their brands noticed. A branding and digital marketing strategist with a background in web design, Sam started his agency, Malik Media, to use design as a catalyst for lead generation and brand awareness.

Sam founded his company as a senior at New Albany High School. After spending a year at University of Cincinnati, Sam decided to focus on the company full time in order to expand his team and tend to the needs of a growing client base.

Malik Media helps mid-market companies present themselves like Fortune 500s, employing effective web development and design practices that build credibility and leave an impact on prospective clients. After developing a memorable brand identity, Sam and his team work with clients to deploy Facebook lead conversion funnels, Google Adwords campaigns, and ongoing Search Engine Optimization (SEO) techniques to turn their websites into revenue-generators.

Innovative Information:

  • Mon July 2 – With Angela Hobart, hosted New Albany resident Jenny Neal at Innovate New Albany.  Jenny is in the process of launching a co-working business under a national brand name, ideally in New Albany.  We explained the mission of Innovate New Albany and the activities that occur here.  We also helped her understand nearby real estate options that could be a fit for her new business.


  • Thu July 5 – Had monthly meeting with Kristy Campbell and Heather Harmon of Rev1 Ventures.  Purpose of meeting is to ensure alignment of plans and expectations and share news about startups of mutual interest, upcoming events, and valuable resources.


  • Mon July 9 – Met with Reese Fields, Business Development Manager, at public accounting firm, Clark Schaefer Hackett.  Explained the mission of Innovate New Albany and the activities that we host here on a regular basis. 


  • Thu July 12 – Met with Attorney Shweta Chaubey of law firm Brennan Manna & Diamond.  Explained the mission of Innovate New Albany and the activitiesr that we host here on a regular basis. 


  • Thu July 26 – Met with innovation/R&D leader Dr. Chris Thoen who recently relocated to the New Albany area from Switzerland.  Chris had a long career as an R&D leader at P&G and Givaudan (worldwide expert in flavors and fragrances).  Explained the mission of Innovate New Albany and the activities that we host here on a regular basis.  Explored other ways that Dr. Thoen can contribute to Innovate New Albany and friends he can recruit to enhance our programming and services.
