Eat. Mingle. Make new friends.
Startups and growing companies often assume retention is solved with bigger salaries or trendy perks. It’s not.
The companies that keep great people usually get the fundamentals right first: clear expectations, meaningful work, strong leadership, thoughtful compensation, and a culture people trust.
In this TIGER Talk, our featured speakers, Jen Meek & Chandler Kuhn, will talk about what really drives retention in small and growing businesses, especially when budgets are tight and every hire matters. They’ll cover practical ways to create an employee experience that feels intentional, scalable, and honest. From compensation beyond a paycheck to communication rhythms, leadership accountability, and smart approaches to benefits and equity.
This won’t be a conversation about ping pong tables and free snacks. It’s about building a company people believe in.
