Leading in times of crisis can be extraordinarily stressful and demanding. So, is there an upside for leaders during the COVID-19 pandemic?

There is. If they see it as an opportunity to grow.

There is significant evidence that tell us leaders grow from their experiences. In fact, research indicates that leaders’ most formative insights come from challenging assignments, relationships with other people with whom they work, and the adversity they face.

There’s no denying that this pandemic is a time of hardship. But within this hardship is an opportunity for every leader: to see this time as a chance for growth and lean into that challenge.

In this session, we will discuss how leadership is forged in times of crisis and how leaders can think about their own opportunities for growth.

Bethany Klynn is the President and Owner of Insight Leadership Consulting. She has more than 20 years of experience in leadership development, executive coaching, and team development. From C-suite executives to first-time people managers, she works with leaders and their teams during times of change and transformation and helps them achieve even better results.

A long-time resident of New Albany, Bethany earned her PhD in Industrial/ Organizational Psychology from The Ohio State University.
