Brian Penick is a musician turned entrepreneur who strives to build a better music industry. After a 12-year career as a professional musician, Brian left the road to focus on the business side of music.
His ventures include:
- The Counter Rhythm Group, an artist development, marketing, and events company that has worked with artists like Walk The Moon
- Musicians’ Desk Reference, an internationally recognized career management platform used by artists, professionals and educational institutions
- Soundstr, a venture-backed music identification and event advertising solution
Brian also works as an advisor and mentor for several startups, serving as a co-director for Founder Institute Columbus. His expertise ranges from business development, strategic growth, sales, and marketing across the music and tech sectors. Brian is a firm believer that everyone deserves a chance, and that disruptive thinking is the key to a more sustainable future.
