Innovation on Tap: What I Learned From 25 Entrepreneurs One Evening Over Drinks in a Virtual Barroom (LIVESTREAM)

May 13, 2020 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

| TIGER Talk

Please register by 8 pm, Tue May 12.
By 9 pm, we’ll send you a link to access LIVESTREAM.

In this TIGER Talk, join Boston-based author and entrepreneur Eric B. Schultz as he takes you through three centuries of innovation in America as seen through the eyes of 25 entrepreneurs — from Eli Whitney and his cotton gin to Lin-Manuel Miranda and his Broadway hit “Hamilton” — who have gathered to “talk shop” in an imaginary barroom. Eric will tell stories from his book, “Innovation on Tap,” and present several “mini-case studies” that offer relevant lessons about how to succeed as innovators and entrepreneurs in the 21st century.

Eric is the former Chairman and CEO of Sensitech and a former CEO-partner with Ascent Ventures in Boston. He currently chairs the Gettysburg Foundation.

In addition to authoring “Innovation on Tap” (2019), Eric is co-author of “Food Foolish: The Hidden Connection Between Food Waste, Hunger, and Climate Change” (2015) and “King Philip’s War: The History and Legacy of America’s Forgotten Conflict” (2017).”

Eric earned his Bachelor degree in History from Brown University and his MBA from the Harvard Business School (with Neil Collins of Innovate New Albany). You can learn more about Eric and his books on LinkedIn, Medium, Goodreads, Twitter, and Amazon.

In advance of this event, we recommend you get a feel for Eric’s ideas, writing, and points-of-view by checking out his active, up-to-date blog, “The Occasional CEO.”
